Yarn in its original condition may be returned for up to 90 days for a refund, and should be accompanied with a receipt. Yarn that has been knit or wound into a ball cannot be returned. All sales items are final. Shipping charges for returned merchandise are the responsibility of the buyer and will not be refunded. We issue your refund by the method paid. It may take 1-2 weeks to process returns.

We ship via Priority Mail for domestic shipping addresses. Priority Mail and First Class Mail are options for shipping to international addresses. We ship 6 days a week, year round. Items will generally be shipped within 24 hours of receiving your order. You will receive an email notification when your order is shipped.

String Theory takes your privacy seriously and does not rent, sell, or share your email address or personal information with other people; however, shipping carriers will be notified of customers’ email and shipping addresses, for tracking and notification purposes. String Theory does not rent, sell, or share your personal information that you provide when opening an account and/or ordering with other people beyond what is required to process your order.

HOW IT WORKS – Every dollar you spend on merchandise adds one point to your point balance. When you accumulate a total of 300 points you earn a reward which is equivalent to a $30 discount on a future purchase that equals or exceeds $30. Reward points do not expire.

HOW DO I SIGN UP? Registered online customers automatically receive reward points when making purchases; unregistered online customers do not accrue points with purchases.

WHICH PURCHASES ARE ELIGIBLE TO EARN REWARD POINTS? Online purchases of merchandise and gift certificates are eligible to earn reward points; all fair, show, and wholesale transactions are excluded from this program. Class fees, shipping, sales tax, purchases made with gift certificates, items donated for prizes or charity by String Theory, and merchandise traded for services are exempt from earning rewards. Points earned from merchandise that is returned are subtracted from your current point balance.

HOW DO I KNOW HOW MANY POINTS I HAVE? When registered online customers are logged in their account, reward points are displayed on the MY ACCOUNT page. Registered online customers will receive an email notification when an order is processed; the notification shows points earned with that purchase.

HOW DO I REDEEM MY BIG BANG BUCKS? Participating customers have the option of redeeming reward points at the time of purchase after they have reached 300 points. A notice with a link to apply discount appears in the cart/checkout when rewards points accrued meet or exceed 300 points and the order total, not including tax and shipping, is $30 or more. Customers must indicate at the time of payment that they want to apply their reward points towards their purchase. Reward points cannot be redeemed at shows or fairs, for class fees, gift certificates. Rewards may not be transferred to another customer or redeemed for cash.

I accept a limited number of wholesale accounts from LYS. String Theory Hand Dyed Yarn must be a “good fit” for your shop and must not be in close geographical proximity/direct competition with other wholesale accounts. I do not take on wholesale accounts from online only stores in the US.

Wholesale customers in the US must agree to not sell String Theory Hand Dyed Yarn online.

I do not have color cards. Yarn bases and colors can be viewed on this website.

How to register for a wholesale account: Visit the MY ACCOUNT page and register as a customer. You will receive a confirmation email. Forward your confirmation email to knit@stringtheoryyarn.com with “WHOLESALE ACCOUNT” in the subject and include your EIN/tax # in the email. Please also include your website link, if you have one. I will review your application and contact you regarding approval.
