Hello Friends
I am SO excited about the Jane Thornley Vest. I have a confession to make, I started my vest. My chosen yarns were practically knitting themselves; they were rolling around begging to be knit. And then I pulled a really dumb move, as I was jumping up off the floor, where I was playing around with my yarn, my foot got caught on the very mean couch leg. I sprained it pretty badly, so for the last 2 days all I was really able to do was sit and knit (I know, poor me). AND I felt a little nervous about guiding people through a pattern that I had never done, I really wanted to feel more comfortable with the pattern before I was in that position. So I had no choice, I had to succumb to the siren call of the watery blues and greens, that were piled around me. And let me tell you it has been a lot of fun, and very creative, and I am getting to use all these odd bits of yarn that found their way into my l
ife, that I didn't know what to do with. I have attached a picture of my Road To Indigo Vest…to tempt you.
So we have had some interest generated about the Knit Along and wanted to let you know that the time is firmed up. We will start this Thursday evening May 8 at 6:30 and go for about 2 hrs. We will meet as long as knitters feel inspired to…I’m thinking 4 - 6 weeks. I think the first night will consist of organizing thoughts about projects, swatching, maybe trading colors with other participants, and general figuring out how to proceed with projects. I know some folks are concerned that they can’t come every week…that’s OK! It’s even ok if you can’t come the first week. If you are planning to join us please do let me know so that we know how to best prepare. Remember, this is Free Fibery Fun! Our regular knitting group meets every 2 & 4th Saturday of the month, that's this week.
