Hello & Happy Spring!
We are going to be having a Jane Thornley Vest Knit-A-Long. We are members of Ravelry, the online knitting site, and one of the groups is going to do the same Knit-A-Long. Jane Thornley is a visionary designer of knitwear and very inspiring. Some of you may remember seeing a couple of her pieces in the shop when we opened, they are truly magnificent pieces. Karen has wanted to try one of her patterns and is going to participate in the virtual K-A-L, but thought it would be so much more fun to do it with some of you. Any of her vests can be done in the group, we have copies of the Indigo Vest pattern in the shop, the others are available on her website. Take a look at her site janethornley.com and see if it's something you'd like to try! They are great projects for using up stash yarns. The only thing required to participate is an adventurous spirit. We were thinking of having the group meet Thursdays starting next week on May 10, but are open to suggestions about the time. Could be mornings, evenings, whatever works for the majority. So if you're interested please contact us and we'll figure it out!
We have gotten some new springy yarns in the shop with bamboo, soy, silk content....mmmm..the silk bamboo blend is amazing!
Starting in July and through September we will be open regularly on Mondays. Shop hours will be Monday - Saturday 10 -5. We are always open online, for browsing and are adding yarns all the time, and eventually books, needles, patterns.
